AMC has released the official full-length trailer for the second season of its “Interview with the Vampire,” the clip timed with the finale of “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” tonight.

The eight-episode second season adapts the back half of Anne Rice’s beloved first book in “The Vampire Chronicles” series.

The series sees Louis (Jacob Anderson) and his vampire daughter Claudia (Delainey Hayles replacing Bailey Bass) having fled New Orleans and are now in Paris.

There they encounter the Theatre des Vampires, a stage production in which a coven of actual vampires pretends to be actors who are playing vampires for a theatrical stage performance.

There Louis first meets the Vampire Armand (Assad Zaman). Their courtship and love affair will prove to have devastating consequences both in the past and in the future, and journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) will probe to get to the truths buried within repressed memories now resurfacing.

Also back is Sam Reid as Lestat who was left for dead and will initially appear in flashbacks before making his presence more known. Ben Daniels also joins the cast as Santiago whilst David Costabile, Roxane Duran and Bally Gill have recurring roles.

“Interview With The Vampire” is set to return May 12th.
