Ending a long period of speculation, actor Ryan Gosling has confirmed he will officially perform his “Barbie” song “I’m Just Ken” live at the Oscars which airs March 10th.
The actor will sing the Oscar-nominated song during the 96th annual ceremony on March 10th. Following his nomination in January, Gosling was asked about the possibility but insisted the Academy hadn’t yet asked him to perform.
The song’s writer Mark Ronson indicated at the Grammys the other week that if Gosling wasn’t going to sing the song, they wouldn’t perform it at the ceremony.
Some of the presenters at this year’s ceremony have also been announced with Zendaya, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicolas Cage, Al Pacino, Brendan Fraser, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis all confirmed to be appearing.
Also presenting are Mahershala Ali, Jessica Lange, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o and Sam Rockwell.
“Oppenheimer” currently leads the nominations with thirteen followed by “Poor Things” with eleven and “Killers of the Flower Moon” with ten.
