By Filmmaker has shared the first cast photo for the upcoming “Superman: Legacy” film via Instagram.
Gunn says the image was taken following the first table read for the superhero film which is set for a theatrical release on July 11th 2025.
The photo includes David Corenswet (Superman), Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor), Sara Sampai (Eve Teschmacher), Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), Terence Rosemore (Otis), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner), Maria Gabriela de Faría (The Engineer), along with Gunn and producer Peter Safran.
One notable absentee from the photo is Milly Alcock who is set to play Supergirl in the upcoming “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”. It’s expected the actress will appear in at least one DC Studios project prior to leading her own film.
The new film will follow Superman as he looks to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
Filming remains on track to kick off in March.
