Netflix has announced that the fourth and final season of “The Umbrella Academy” will premiere August 8th on the service. Steve Blackman, who has steered the series from the start, is returning as executive producer and showrunner.

Regulars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castaneda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, Colm Feore are back and are joined by Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally and David Cross in the final run.

A final season renewal for the show, based on the comic book series created and written by Gerard Way, was handed out back in 2022 after the third season launched.

That season premiered to No. 1 in Netflix’s English-language TV weekly rankings with 124.5 million hours viewed and spent five weeks in the Top 10. All three seasons received positive reviews and, to date, has racked up six Emmy nominations.

The final run clocks in at a shorter six episodes as opposed to the ten-episode run of the three previous seasons. It will deal with the newly rebuilt universe as the siblings have lost their powers whilst a new version of Reginald and his resurrected wife Abigail observe the city.
