Ewan McGregor will star opposite Anne Hathaway in an untitled dinosaur adventure feature from “It Follows” filmmaker David Robert Mitchell at Warner Bros. Pictures and Bad Robot.
The project is being dubbed a family adventure set in the 1980s that involves dinosaurs, but further story details are under wraps. Hathaway and McGregor play the parents with the kids roles yet to be cast.
Mitchell wrote the script and is producing alongside J.J. Abrams, Matt Jackson and Hannah Minghella. Jake Weiner and Chris Bender will executive produce.
The untitled film will reportedly be shot in IMAX and is expected to head into production this year.
The news comes as Mitchell is working on an “It Follows” sequel titled “They Follow” which will bring Maika Monroe. Hathaway has “The Idea of You,” “Mother’s Instinct” and “Mother Mary” all on the way this year.
McGregor most recently co-starred with his daughter Clara in “Bleeding Love” which opens this week in U.S. cinemas.
