“Arrow” and “Heels” star Stephen Amell has scored the lead role in the upcoming “Suits: L.A.” – the new spin-off of the recently resurgent franchise.
Amell plays Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who is a “charismatic force of nature who puts his own needs above others”.
Black joined forces 15 years ago with his old friend, Stuart Lane, to build an L.A. law firm that specializes in criminal and entertainment law.
The key roles of Lane and the female lead, Erica, are tipped to be cast in the next few days with production kicking off late March in Vancouver. NBC handed out a pilot order earlier this month.
Aaron Korsh, who created the original series for the USA Network, is penning the pilot and executive-producing alongside David Bartis, Doug Liman, Gene Klein and director Victoria Mahoney.
It all follows the original series breaking streaming records on Netflix over last summer, becoming the most-streamed program of 2023.
