Hulu’s long-in-the-works and long-delayed adaptation of Sarah J. Maas’ fantasy romance book series “A Court of Thorns and Roses” is dead.
TV Line reports that not only is the high-profile project no longer moving forward at Hulu, the studio has no plans to shop the potential series around to other outlets.
A few days ago Craig Erwich, president of Disney Television Group, made it clear at the Television Critics Association there was no news to share about the series – suggesting it had made no progress.
“Outlander” and “Battlestar Galactica” producer Ronald D. Moore was developing the show with Maas, at last report back in November saying some scripts had been written and they were waiting.
The story follows Feyre, a huntress who kills a wolf and finds herself in a magical land she never thought possible. The project was initially announced back in 2021.
