Pixar and Disney Pictures have premiered a 30-second TV spot for their highly anticipated “Inside Out” sequel which will hit cinemas on June 14th.
The film returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions!
Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone.
“Stranger Things” alum Maya Hawke voices Anxiety, joining returnees Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, and Lewis Black as Anger.
Tony Hale and Liza Lapira take over the voices of Fear and Disgust from Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling respectively. Kelsey Mann directs from a screenplay written by Meg LeFauve, whilst Mark Nielsen produces and Pete Docter executive produces.
The film reportedly features a range of “5 to 27 emotions” – an idea of Docter’s from the first film that Mann pitched during its production.
