Anthony Michael Hall (“Bosch: Legacy”) and Sonya Cassidy (“Lodge 49”) have signed on for series regular roles in the upcoming third season of Amazon Prime Video’s “Reacher”.
Filming is currently underway in Toronto on the new season which was recently revealed to be based on the Lee Child book “Persuader”.
In that story Reacher inadvertently witnesses an attempted kidnapping and instinctively intervenes, leading him to become caught up in a complex operation with the DEA.
The operation’s goal? To infiltrate and take down a notorious drug trafficker named Zachary Beck who operates from a heavily fortified lakeside mansion.
But Reacher has his own agenda – namely settling a personal vendetta against Francis Xavier Quinn, a former military police officer like Reacher who is now working for Beck.
The two share a past history with Quinn having murdered a woman Reacher was close to, and Jack plans to settle the score.
Hall will play Beck, whilst Cassidy will play intelligent and resilient DEA agent Susan Duffy. They join returnee Alan Ritchson as Reacher and Maria Sten as Frances Neagley.
“Reacher” has been a massive smash hit for Amazon with the second season wrapping its run last month. No release date for the third season is yet set.
