Steve Coogan will reprise his iconic Alan Partridge character for the comedy documentary series “And Did Those Feet… with Alan Partridge” for the BBC.
The series will see his character coming in to some money after a trip to Saudi Arabia, and so he travels around the UK taking in other’s lives across six episodes as he aims to become a mental health champion for the middle-aged. [Source: The Guardian]
Fight Night
Peacock limited series “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” has added Don Cheadle to its cast as JD Hudson, one of Atlanta’s first Black detectives who is assigned to Muhammed Ali’s security detail during Ali’s historic 1970 comeback fight.
The series deals with an infamous armed robbery that took place that night. Cheadle joins Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Samuel L. Jackson and Terrence Howard in the series which hails from Shaye Ogbonna. [Source: Deadline]
True Detective: Night Country
HBO has announced that the fifth episode of “True Detective: Night Country” will be made available to stream early via the Max platform.
The penultimate episode of the acclaimed fourth season of the show will be available on the streamer from 9pm US-ET/6pm US-PT on Friday February 9th – two full days ahead of the HBO linear premiere at the same time on Sunday February 11th.
That linear premiere is still taking place, but as the series is airing opposite the Super Bowl that night, the network is allowing people to catch it early.
Jodie Foster, Kali Reis, Finn Bennett and Fiona Shaw star in the series, with Christopher Eccleston, Isabella Star LaBlanc and John Hawkes rounding out the cast. Anna Lambe, Aka Niviâna and Joel D. Montgrand are guest stars.
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
HBO has revealed the trailer for the eleventh season of “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” – the series is back with “more hard facts, medium-deep history, and society’s least-asked-for-stories”. The new season run begins on February 18th.
