Following the unveiling of their 2024 Spring/early Summer slate today, Apple TV+ has released full trailers for two of their shows on the way shortly.
The first is “Palm Royale,” a late 1960s set series starring Kristen Wiig as Maxine Simmons – an outsider who endeavors to break into Palm Beach high society.
The all-star cast includes Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Amber Chardae Robinson, Mindy Cohn, Julia Duffy, Kaia Gerber along with veterans Bruce Dern and Carol Burnett.
The story is loosely based on Juliet McDaniel’s novel “Mr. and Mrs. American Pie” while Abe Sylvia (“George & Tammy”) is the showrunner as well as writer and executive producer.
“Palm Royale” releases three episodes on March 20th followed by weekly episode releases through May 8th.
That’s not the only Apple TV+ series trailer today. Also out is the trailer for “The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin,” the comedy-adventure series starring “Mighty Boosh” star and “Great British Bake Off” co-host Noel Fielding.
Fielding stars as the legendary British highwayman in the series which follows his wildly absurd escapades when he’s made the reluctant leader of a band of outlaws – and tasked with outwitting corrupt lawman and self-appointed thief-taker Jonathan Wilde (Hugh Bonneville).
The six-episode series co-stars Ellie White, Marc Wootton, Duayne Boachie, Tamsin Greig and Asim Chaudhry. It was created by Claire Downes, Ian Jarvis, and Stuart Lane.
“The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin” will premiere globally on Friday, March 1st with two episodes followed by a new episode every Friday through March 29th.
