Paramount Pictures has unveiled a new two-minute ‘Big Game Tease’ spot for the fantasy comedy “IF” ahead of the Superbowl broadcast this coming weekend.
The spot itself plays up an old gag from “The Office” as actor Randall Park pretends to be John Krasinski, complete with Park doing B-roll footage seemingly directing the movie.
The film sees Ryan Reynolds and Krasinski co-starring whilst the latter also writes and directs based on his original idea about a child’s journey in rediscovering their imagination.
It follows a young girl who has the ability to see people’s imaginary friends who have been left behind after their real-life pals grew up. She sets out to help them.
The supporting cast is absolutely stacked and includes Steve Carell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fiona Shaw, Emily Blunt, Sam Rockwell, Bobby Moynihan, Louis Gossett Jr., and Matt Damon.
Jon Stewart, Richard Jenkins, Maya Rudolph, Awkwafina, Christopher Meloni, Alan Kim, Cailey Fleming, , Sebastian Maniscalco, and Vince Vaughn also star.
Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, and Andrew Form produce with “IF” scheduled to make its debut in cinemas on May 17th. Expect more big game spots in the coming days.
