Netflix held its Next on Netflix event Wednesday in Los Angeles where it previewed both its TV series and film slates for the year.
On the TV front, the most high-profile confirmed for 2024 titles included the second seasons of “Squid Game,” “The Diplomat,” “Arcane” and “The Night Agent”; and the final seasons of “Cobra Kai” and “The Umbrella Academy”.
Also coming are the third seasons of “Bridgerton,” “Heartstopper,” “Sweet Tooth” and “Vikings: Valhalla”; and fourth seasons of “Outer Banks” and “Emily in Paris”.
There’s also new series on the way from the “Terminator” anime series to the Andrew Scott-led “Ripley,” the Keira Knightley-led spy tale “Black Doves,” and the “Exploding Kittens” show.
On the film front there’s “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” which has also set a July 3rd release date, Mark Wahlberg & Halle Berry’s new film “The Union,” the Benedict Cumberbatch-led “Eric” and Jerry Seinfeld’s all-star “Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story”.
