Netflix has cancelled its action-comedy series “Obliterated,” which was originally developed for TBS, after a single season.

The series follows a special forces team that thwarts a deadly threat to the city of Las Vegas, then spends the night celebrating their successful mission.

They soon discover that the bomb they disarmed was a decoy. They have to fight off hangovers and other impairments while trying to save the city for real.

The series hails from “Cobra Kai” creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald and the rights landed at Netflix back in 2022 which released the show on November 30th.

The show was in the streamer’s worldwide top 10 list of English language series for six weeks with the the eight-episode season recording 29 million ‘views’. The title raked in 2.77 billion minutes of viewing over its first four weeks.
