The first image has been released from the “Among Us” animated series in the works at CBS Eye Animation Productions and game developer Innersloth.

Following the premise of the game, the TV series sees members of a starship crew having been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone.

In the games, players must root out the ‘Impostor(s)’ or fall victim to its murderous tendencies. Titmouse (“Star Trek: Lower Decks”) will serve as the animation studio for the series.

Owen Dennis is creator and executive producer on the project under his overall deal with CBS Studios. Also executive producing are Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, Carl Neisser, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina.

The game launched in 2018 but had a massive spike in popularity in 2020 during the pandemic. By the end of that year the game had nearly 500 million monthly active users and more than 4 billion views on YouTube.

No network or streamer is currently attached to the TV series version at present but talks are ongoing.
