Husband-and-wife Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are set to star on screen together for the first time in two deades for the film “Connescence” which began shooting this week.
“The King of Queens” creator Michael J. Weithorn writes and directs the film which stars Bacon as Stan Olszewski, a sharp yet chronically underachieving security guard.
He breaks up an attempted robbery at the home of Cynthia Rand (Sedgwick), a successful urologist married to a former Watergate prosecutor Warren Rand (Judd Hirsch).
Their chance encounter grows a charged, dynamic friendship – first with late-night text sessions filled with humor and intimate revelations, but soon growing into something much more. Brittany O’Grady co-stars.
Bacon and Sedgwick previously worked on screen together in 2004’s “Cavedweller” and “The Woodsman”, though in the years since both have directed each other in the films “Loverboy” and “Space Oddity”.
Filming run for just over three weeks in and around Brooklyn. Sedgwick, Bacon, Victoria Hill and Andrew Mann produce.
