“Juno,” “Young Adult” and “Tully” screenwriter Diablo Cody has revealed that she would be happy to work on a sequel to her 2009 horror feature “Jennifer’s Body”.
Speaking with Bloody Disgusting whilst out promoting her work on “Lisa Frankenstein,” Cody told the outlet she’d be up for the job if the opportunity came along:
“Yes! I wanna do a sequel. I am not done with Jennifer’s Body. I just need to find… I need to partner with people who believe it in as much as I do and that hasn’t really happened yet. I need someone to believe in it who has a billion dollars.”
Karyn Kusama helmed the film which has become a bit of a cult classic in recent years. Megan Fox starred in the film as a high-school girl who is possessed by a demon.
She satisfies her appetite for human flesh with the school’s male population, whilst her nerdy friend Needy (Amanda Seyfried) vows to put an end to the carnage.
Adam Brody, Amy Sedaris, Johnny Simmons, J. K. Simmons, Cynthia Stevenson, and Chris Pratt co-starred. Cody also confirmed to the outlet she’s working on the screenplay for a different horror movie:
“I have an unfinished one kicking around that I need to finish that I think is definitely the most straight horror, like, overt, gore, scary thing I’ve ever written. I’m really proud of the concept and I just have to push myself across the finish line.”
The Cody-penned “Lisa Frankenstein” is slated to open in cinemas on February 9th.
