Warner Bros. Pictures is reportedly set to re-release Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” in cinemas on February 23rd.
The InSneider broke the story, saying the new run will reportedly include IMAX screens and will be in part to support the release of Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” which is set to arrive the following week on March 1st.
The move is seen as a confirmation that Nolan and Warner Bros. Pictures have seemingly made up after Nolan left the studio in early 2021 – taking his “Oppenheimer” biopic to Universal.
At the time it was thought to be partly due to then AT&T-owned Warners hybrid distribution strategy in 2021 which saw movies released day-and-date in cinemas and on HBO Max.
Since then Warners has undergone massive changes following the Warner Bros. Discovery merger with all new film executives in charge including veteran execs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy in charge at Warner Bros. Pictures who want to get Nolan back.
Nolan has yet to set his post-“Oppenheimer” project, but many eyes will be focused on whatever it is he wants to do next.
