Hulu has acquired the four-part docuseries “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story” – the first-ever docuseries on the band’s history.
The project has the full cooperation from all past and present members of Bon Jovi, including longtime guitarist and co-songwriter Richie Sambora, and promises viewers a glimpse at the life of frontman Jon Bon Jovi himself.
The series will combine forty years of personal videos, unreleased early demos, original lyrics and never-before-seen photos about the band’s journey from New Jersey clubs in the early 1980s to the biggest arenas around the world.
Along the way there were hits, setbacks, fights and triumphs. The band famously blended styles of rock, pop, power ballads and heavy metal, leading to their third album “Slippery When Wet” selling over 20 million copies.
In all they’ve sold over 130 million albums worldwide and produced countless major hits over the years with songs like “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,” “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Bad Medicine,” “It’s My Life,” “Lay Your Hands On Me,” “Blaze of Glory,” “Keep the Faith,” “I’ll Be There For You,” “Raise Your Hands” and more.
Gotham Chopra (“Kobe Bryant’s Muse,” “Man in the Arena”) directs and executive produces along with Giselle Parets and Ameeth Sankaran. Alex Trudeau Viriato produces and edits.
“Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story” premieres on Friday, April 26th
