Max has premiered the trailer for the second season of its original crime drama series “Tokyo Vice” which returns to the streamer on February 8th.
Loosely inspired by American journalist Jake Adelstein’s first-hand account of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat, the second season of the series takes us deeper into the city’s criminal underworld.
Missouri-born American journalist Adelstein (Ansel Elgort) comes to realize that his life, and the lives of those close to him, are in terrible danger.
J.T. Rogers created and writes the series. It also stars Ken Watanabe as detective Hiroto Katagiri, Rinko Kikuchi, Rachel Keller, Show Kasamatsu, Ayumi Ito, and new series regulars Yosuke Kubozuka and Miki Maya.
Rogers and Alan Poul executive produce with Alex Boden, Josef Kubota Wladyka, Brad Caleb Kane, Adam Stein, Ken Watanabe, Emily Gerson Saines, Ansel Elgort, Jake Adelstein, Kayo Washio, Destin Daniel Cretton, John Lesher and Michael Mann.
The new season will launch with two episodes and one episode will debut every subsequent week for eight weeks.
