By What appears to be a first look at Dakota Johnson’s Cassandra Webb in her final Madame Web superhero suit has been revealed on social media a few weeks prior to the film’s release.
The photo hails from Spider-Man News who posted an alleged snapshot of a product tie-in for the film – a bottle of Ocean Spray being sold in an Asian market.
Johnson can be seen in the outfit, a fully red affair with a spider pattern across the chest. The outfit is very akin to the Marvel comics character, minus the blindfold.
Whereas the trailer for the film has drawn some rather negative reaction, and countless memes due to one line delivery, the reaction to the new costume so far has been quite positive.
The suspense-driven thriller stars Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures…if they can all survive a deadly present.
Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Emma Roberts, Mike Epps, Adam Scott, and Zosia Mamet also star in the S. J. Clarkson-directed feature which Sony Pictures will open on February 16th.
