“Get Out,” “Us” and “Nope” filmmaker Jordan Peele says his upcoming and currently untitled fourth directorial effort could well become his “favorite” film to date.
The project was previously dated for Christmas Day 2024 but has since been removed from the release calender due to the strikes. It’s currently not clear when it will be released.
Peele popped up on the Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend podcast this week where he teased: “I do feel like my next project is clear to me, and I’m psyched that I have another film that could be my favorite movie if I make it right.”
Peele added that 2023 was an “interesting” year for him as he was stuck “in a state of listening” due to the six-month double strike.
The film was one of two movies from his Monkeypaw Productions label that were quietly pulled from the slate on Christmas Day. The other is a horror film he’s only producing which was slated for late September.
Focus Features has already moved Robert Eggers’ “Nosferatu” into that Christmas Day slot vacated by Peele’s movie.
