The second season of Netflix’s smash hit “Addams Family” reinvention “Wednesday” is aiming to start production in Ireland in April and ahead of filming, casting details for three new characters have emerged online.
According to What’s on Netflix, the three new characters are named Karloff, Wolfgang, and Annie.
Karloff is a young and athletic male teen and will require the actor to wear prosthetics. Wolfgang is a charming and confident male teen character, no other specifics at present. Annie is a 12-14 year old young girl who is “whip-smart and wise beyond her years”.
The debut season of the coming-of-age supernatural comedy horror was a cultural phenomenon, the series racking up 1.237 billion hours viewed in four weeks.
It became Netflix’s third most-watched TV series of all time, behind only the first season of “Squid Game” and the fourth season of “Stranger Things” along with turning star Jenna Ortega into a household name.
The new season is expected to take on more of a horror vibe and lose some of The CW-esque teen romance shenanigans of the first season.
