Sony Pictures has dated two Apple Original Films productions that it is set to release theatrically next year.
The dates follow in the wake of Sony and Apple’s collaboration on Ridley Scott’s historical epic “Napoleon” which opened last month and so far has taken in around $190 million worldwide.
The first of the films is a currently untitled Greg Berlanti-directed project formerly known as “Project Artemis”. Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum star in the drama set against the 1960s space race. Chris Evans was originally attached in the Tatum role.
Sony will release the film theatrically, including premium large formats, on July 12th 2024. Also starring are Jim Rash, Ray Romano, Anna Garcia, Donald Elise Watkins, Noah Robbins, Colin Woodell, and Woody Harrelson.
The other film is the George Clooney-Brad Pitt led potential franchise launcher “Wolfs”. Jon Watts (“Spider-Man: No Way Home”) helms the movie and the two stars also produce the film.
The story follows two lone-wolf fixers assigned to the same job. Sony will release that film on screens, along with IMAX and premium large formats, on September 20th 2024.
