“Ready or Not” and “Scream VI” filmmakers Radio Silence (aka. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillet) have reportedly wrapped production on their new untitled monster thriller at Universal Pictures.
Like Leigh Whannell’s “The Invisible Man” or Chris McKay’s “Renfield,” the project is said to be a unique take on Universal’s classic monster lore and a standalone project.
The rumor is the project is inspired by 1936’s “Dracula’s Daughter” and revolves around a group of kidnappers abducting young people – unaware they’ve bitten off more than they can chew.
The cast list includes Melissa Barrera, Alisha Weir, Dan Stevens, Kevin Durand, Kathryn Newton, Angus Cloud, Will Catlett and Giancarlo Esposito.
News of the film’s wrap comes via photos posted from the film’s wrap party by Weir. The actress expressed her excitement for the film but, like everything else about the movie – kept any potentially confirmed details secret.
The film, whatever it will be called, was penned by Stephen Shields with revisions by Guy Busick. It has already set an April 19th 2024 release date.
