Focus Features has unveiled a brand-new trailer for Jeff Nichols’ bikie drama “The Bikeriders” starring Tom Hardy, Austin Butler, Jodie Comer and Michael Shannon.
Inspired by Danny Lyon’s book of photography, the story unfolds in the 1960s. Kathy, a strong-willed member of the Vandals who is married to a wild, reckless bike rider named Benny.
She recounts the club’s evolution over the course of a decade from a group of local outsiders led by the strong Johnny to something more dangerous and sinister.
At the same time, she feels she must compete with Johnny for Benny’s attention. Soon, all three are forced to make choices about their loyalty to the club and to each other.
The project marks “Take Shelter” director Nichols’ long-awaited return to filmmaking a full seven years since his last effort with “Loving” back in 2016.
Mike Faist, Boyd Holbrook, Damon Herriman, Beau Knapp, Emory Cohen, Karl Glusman, Toby Wallace, Norman Reedus, and Happy Anderson co-star.
Nichols writes and directs the film which will hit cinemas on December 1st.
