Update: Gunn has denied Klementieff’s casting, saying on Threads: “Despite Pom being one of my favorite actors to work with, this is 100% not true. Not only is Pom not in the movie, but no one has ever even discussed her being in the movie, nor do I have any idea what role she would possibly play.”
Original: “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” duo Pom Klementieff and Miriam Shor have both joined the cast of James Gunn’s “Superman: Legacy” at Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios according to THR.
Whilst all the roles announced so far have revealed what characters they will play, specifics of the pair’s roles in this case are under wraps.
Klementieff is coming off a scene-stealing role as the high-kicking Paris in “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” whilst Shor appears in awards darlings “Maestro” and “American Fiction”.
They join a swelling cast that now includes David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nic Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Isabel Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Maria Gabriela de Faria as The Engineer.
“Superman: Legacy” remains on track to begin its filming at Leavesden Studios in London in early Spring next year. The movie is still set for release on July 11th 2025, as originally planned, with the date unaffected by the strikes.
