By Netflix has premiered the full-length trailer for its dark action comedy series “The Brothers Sun” starring Michelle Yeoh, Justin Chien and Sam Song Li. The show launches in full on Netflix on January 4th.
Yeoh plays Eileen Sun, a shrewd woman who built a life for herself and her youngest son Bruce (Li) in Los Angeles after leaving the world of Taiwan’s gangsters and crime behind.
Her past catches up with her when her eldest son, the hardened criminal Charles (Chien), shows up following the assassination of his crime boss father.
He’s come there to try and keep his mother and brother safe as Taipei’s deadliest societies arrive at their doorstep. Along the way, Bruce and Eileen try to heal the wounds caused by their separation and figure out what family truly means.
Highdee Kuan, Joon Lee, Jenny Yang, Johnny Kou and Jon Xue Zhang co-star in the series which is co-created by Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu. Falchuk serves as showrunner whilst Kevin Tancharoen and Mikkel Bondesen executive produce.
