Rockstar Games has released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, having been forced to drop it early after a bad quality version leaked out online.
Rockstar clearly has a leaky ship, as after trying to keep things under wraps for a long time, there was a massive data leak last year that put more than an hour of in-development footage online.
These seemed to confirm the setting of Vice City once again and the presence of both male and female protagonists.
Tom Petty’s Love Is A Long Road provides the soundtrack to the trailer as the expected Miami Vice meets Scarface scenes play out in Rockstar’s Not-Miami complete with speedboats, nightclubs, beaches and an alligator.
The trailer confirms Grand Theft Auto VI will be released in 2025 and seems to hint that it will be console only, no PC version on release.
