Apple TV+ has released a new mid-season trailer for its well-regarded “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” with the clip hinting at where the remaining six episodes of the series are headed. The series will wrap its run on January 12th.
The series premiered on November 17th and unfolds within the continuity of Legendary’s MonsterVerse franchise, More specifically after the events of 2014’s “Godzilla” which saw San Francisco levelled by the beast’s fight with MUTO.
The story follows two siblings following in their missing father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch.
Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to an army officer named Lee Shaw (Kurt Russell). Flashback showcases events in the 1950s when a young Lee (Wyatt Russell) was part of a Monarch team trying to learn the origins of the Titans.
