Netflix has premiered the trailer for the final six episodes of “The Crown,” the new run marking the back half of the show’s sixth season overall.
Whilst the first part of the season dealt with the tragic death of Princess Diana, the new fun unfolds from the years of 1997 through 2005.
The new run sees Prince William trying to integrate back into life at Eton in the wake of his mother’s death as the monarchy has to ride the wave of public opinion.
As she reaches her Golden Jubilee, the Queen reflects on the future of the monarchy with the marriage of Charles and Camilla and the beginnings of a new Royal fairy tale in William and Kate.
The new run will also deals with the deaths of Princess Margaret and The Queen Mother, and the rise of Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The cast includes Imelda Staunton, Jonathan Pryce, Lesley Manville, Dominic West, Olivia Williams, Bertie Cavell, Claudia Harrison, Meg Bellamy, Luthur Ford, and Ed McVey.
Peter Morgan, Jonathan Wilson, Daniel Marc Janes, and Meriel Sheibani-Claire penned the episodes. The final run premieres on Netflix on December 14th.
