By The official social media account for the “Sonic the Hedgehog” films has posted a first teasing look at Sonic’s rival Shadow in the upcoming “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” film.
The shot shows Shadow the Hedgehog from the chest down alongside a clapperboard from the upcoming film which also sports a first look at the logo that is similar to the game “Sonic Adventure 2” in which Shadow first appeared.
The post is captioned: “Off and RUNNING. #SonicMovie 3. Only in theatres December 20th 2024” which indicates the project is still on track for that date.
The project was able to shoot its scenes without actors involved during the SAG-AFTA strikes and filming across the production will take place in London, Los Angeles, Japan, and Norway.
Ben Schwartz will reprise his role as Sonic the Hedgehog in the film alongside Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails, Idris Elba as Knuckles. James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub, Tom Butler and Shemar Moore are also back.
The project will be directed by Jeff Fowler and has been written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington. A spin-off series centered around Knuckles is also on the way.
