Netflix has premiered the full trailer for its upcoming limited series adaptation of Trent Dalton’s acclaimed Australian novel “Boy Swallows Universe”.
The eight-episode coming-of-age story unfolds in 1980s Brisbane and blends the innocence of youth with the brutal reality of the adult world.
For one young man, it’s world that involves a lost father, a mute brother, a recovering addict mum, a heroin dealer for a stepfather, and a notorious criminal for a babysitter.
Eli Bell is just trying to follow his heart and understand what it means to become a good man, but fate keeps throwing obstacles in his way.
Felix Cameron, Phoebe Tonkin, Simon Baker, Travis Fimmel, Bryan Brown, Lee Tiger Halley, Anthony LaPaglia, Deborah Mailman and Sophie Wilde star in the series.
Acclaimed screenwriter John Collee penned the script whilst Bharat Nalluri, Jocelyn Moorhouse, and Kim Mordaunt direct episodes across its run.
