Win or Lose
Pixar’s first long-form streaming series “Win or Lose” has been delayed from December into 2024. Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates created the eight-episode series which features the voices of Will Forte, Rosa Salazar and Milan Ray.
The story focuses on a co-ed middle school softball team called the Pickles and the events leading up to their championship game. Each episode focuses on a different player or parent and sees what the world is like through their eyes. [Source: The Wrap]
NCIS: Sydney
CBS’ premiere of “NCIS: Sydney” kicked off on Tuesday night with the premiere episode drawing 5.48 million viewers – the most-watched show during primetime across the broadcast networks for the night.
The episode was also live streamed on Paramount+, where it was the top entertainment program on Tuesday ‘based on reach’ says Paramount Global. [Source: Deadline]
9-1-1: Lone Star
The fifth season of FOX’s spin-off “9-1-1: Lone Star” will not return to Fox until Fall 2024. In addition, that season will consist of a twelve-episode run. It marks the latest production impacted by the writers and actors strikes that shutdown Hollywood for seven months. [Source: Variety]
Law & Order
Former “Burn Notice” alum Jeffrey Donovan is out Detective Cosgrove for the twenty-third season of NBC’s “Law & Order,” exiting after two seasons due to creative differences. A new regular is currently being sought. He marks the second departure since the show’s revival with the twenty-first season as Anthony Anderson exited after his one-year deal was finished. American Hostage
“S.W.A.T.” and “The Night Agent” producer Shawn Ryan is teaming with Jon Hamm for a live-action psychological thriller TV series based on the podcast “American Hostage”. Ryan and Eileen Myers co-wrote the script.
The true story tale follows Fred Heckman, a beloved Indianapolis radio reporter thrust into a crisis when hostage-taker Tony Kiritsis demands to be interviewed on his popular radio news program. Hamm voiced Heckman on the original podcast. [Source: THR]
