Following in the wake of the “Gen V” finale the other day, Prime Video has released first-look teaser art of Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher and Antony Starr’s Homelander in the upcoming fourth season of “The Boys”.
Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and Jensen Ackles co-star in the series.
As Kripke indicated the other day, the new season is mostly edited with music and visual effects currently being worked on whilst the film’s marketing department is just starting up. That can be seen with these one-sheets which mark the first promotional material for the new season.
No official synopsis is available for the new run, but it’s expected to follow the aftermath of the third season following the huge battle between Butcher, Homelander and Soldier Boy among others.
The series is expected to also follow on from story elements introduced in “Gen V” including the introduced ‘supe virus’. That storyline reportedly had to be coordinated between the writers of both series to keep the show’s consistency and continuity intact.
The show’s fourth season will launch sometime in 2024 and stream exclusively on Prime Video.
