Focus Features has premiered the teaser trailer for the Diablo Cody-penned new horror comedy “Lisa Frankenstein”.
Robin Williams’ daughter Zelda Williams makes her feature directorial debut on the project starring Kathryn Newton, Cole Sprouse, Liza Soberano, Henry Eikenberry, Joe Chrest and Carla Gugino.
The coming of rage story follows a misunderstood teenager and her high school crush, who happens to be a handsome corpse.
After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness … and a few missing body parts along the way.
The project marks the first film with a Cody script in five years, the last being “Tully”. Cody also penned the likes of “Juno,” “Young Adult,” “Jennifer’s Body” and “Ricki and the Flash”.
Mason Novick and Cody produce the new film which has set a February 9th 2024 release date.
